Another Book, Blog Tour and Contest
Invisible Path is the latest in my Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery series. In this one her Christmas planning is cast aside as she helps with the investigation of a popular young Indian man from the reservation while trying to find out something about a psuedo-military group who have a compound hidden deep in the forest.
Despite the fact that in a survey sponsored by Sisters in Crime, that blogs and social media don't sell books, I'm off on another blog tour.
Along with the tour I'm having a contest to use someone's name for one of the characters in the next Deputy Tempe Crabtree mystery. The winner will be the one who posts comments on the most of the blogs on my tour. I'm giving the first half of the blog stops here and will post the second half when my turn to blog here on Make Mine Mystery rolls around again.

While I'm here, what's your opinion about blogs, blog tours and other social media not selling books? I'd love to prove the poll wrong.

My book is available from the publisher http://www.mundania.com as a trade paperback and e-book, and of course from all the usual places.

Blogs have certainly helped my book sales, but one blog tour was probably enough for me. It takes so much time and effort as well as time away from writing. Best of luck with your own, Marilyn.
Well, you know I am in the business--actually, I've coordinated your last several tours, so in some ways I am biased.
However, as a debut author, I am also on tour myself. I have sold books, and more importantly, the tour has had a superb impact on my rankings in Google and Bing.
If you want to read my article on this, you can find it at:

Good luck on your tour, Marilyn!

I don't know if they sell books or not. My feeling is that if you meet the author, you will be more inclined to buy more books by that person just because you have seen for yourself that the author is "real"!

Jean, blog tours are a lot of work, but I enjoy doing them, especially when I've got a contest going like this time.
I've been blessed to have Cheryl organize my tours for me.
Hi, Carol, so glad to meet you, perhaps one day it'll be in person.
Marilyn
I believe in blog tours, but they are very draining. On mine, I kept going back after my days to see if any more comments came so I could answer them because I didn't want to neglect anyone.
